Alka supports the future of teenage girls with the help of World Vision Romania – Students’ visit to our factory in Ploiești
On June 7, we had the honour of hosting a special group of visitors at the Alka factory in Ploiești. More than 40 high school girls from countryside communities in Iași, participants in the "I want to be in 9th grade" program and the "Girls from the countryside, agents of change" project, joined us for an inspiring visit.
For the third consecutive year, we proudly support this program, organized by the World Vision Romania NGO!
During the three factory tours, the students had the opportunity to observe and understand the entire production process—from the arrival of raw materials at the factory to the complexity of production, packaging, and storage. In addition, they took part in educational activities and vocational counselling sessions to help them shape their professional futures.
They also engaged in interactive discussions with Alka employees, gaining valuable insights into different career paths and the importance of education in achieving professional success.
For many of them, this experience was a source of inspiration and encouragement, showing them that no matter the challenges they face, success is within reach through education and determination. We remain committed to supporting these valuable initiatives, recognizing that investing in young people’s education today is the key to a better future for all.
"These two days of our 'mini trip' were amazing. Bucharest fascinated and surprised me in so many ways. But the highlight was the visit to Alka! You could tell how hardworking and serious they are, and I loved seeing how snacks are made!" – Denise
